The 50th Paris Marathon, a big-city race on a course through the heart of Paris.

The Paris Marathon in its current form dates from 1976 and is held each April. In 2024 it had 53,899 finishers, briefly making it the world's largest marathon. The course starts on the Champs-Élysées, heads east to the Bois de Vincennes, comes back along the Seine and finishes on Avenue Foch.

The ASICS Marathon de Paris on 4 April 2027 is the 50th edition. Places are allocated by lottery, with team, charity and corporate options. Spectators can watch for free along the route.

About Paris

The Champ de Mars stretches from the École Militaire to the Eiffel Tower. Across the Seine, the Trocadéro terraces give the classic view of the tower, framed by Haussmann boulevards.
