An 800-year-old procession through the City of London as the new Lord Mayor rides in the gold State Coach, with thousands of marchers.
The Lord Mayor's Show dates back more than 800 years, to when King John gave London the right to choose its own mayor. The condition was that each new mayor travel to Westminster to swear loyalty to the Crown. That journey became a procession, and it now fills the City of London's streets each November.
The 2026 show is on Saturday 14 November, setting off at 11 AM from Mansion House. In 2025 more than 7,000 people took part in a procession over three miles long. The show is free to watch.
