About Thousand Oaks
Thousand Oaks fills the Conejo Valley under the Santa Monica Mountains. It's a planned suburban city of valley oaks and open-space trails, home to Amgen's headquarters, the Civic Arts Plaza theaters and The Oaks mall.
Getting there: Thousand Oaks Transportation Center, on Rancho Road, is the local bus hub. Wildwood Regional Park's trail to Paradise Falls starts on the city's west side, in the Wildwood neighborhood.
