About Port Hueneme
Port Hueneme is a small beach city with a deep-water commercial port and a big Navy base. Its wide, quiet beach and fishing pier are local favorites at sunset, and the US Navy Seabee Museum tells the story of the Navy's construction battalions.
Getting there: Hueneme Beach Park and the pier are where Ventura Road meets Surfside Drive. The Seabee Museum is on Ventura Road, outside the base gate.
