About Zudatopia

Real towns in Ventura County, California, rebuilt to walk around in.

What this is

Zudatopia is an independent, real-world 3D explorer — every building, road, and point of interest comes from real map data, not a fictional town. Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Oxnard, Ventura, Ojai, Fillmore, Santa Paula, Port Hueneme, and Moorpark are all built from the same real OpenStreetMap data and real terrain elevation that describes the actual place.

Why real detail

Most of what you walk past is procedurally generated from real footprints and categories — a real house lot gets a real-scale house, a real retail building gets a real-scale storefront. But a handful of places get real, hand-modeled attention: the actual library (with a reading room stocked with real public-domain books), storefronts built from real reference photos, and a small number of real houses of worship — including minority-faith communities that don't usually get this kind of care in a hobby project, because they deserved it just as much as anything more "obvious."

What this isn't

This is an independent personal project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with any city, business, organization, or real location shown — see the full credits for data sourcing and asset licensing.
